The First Annual Global Freelancer Survey for 2007

Freelancers by nature usually work on their own, as such we often don’t really know what others are doing, charging and thinking. This survey aims to compile our collective knowledge for the benefit of freelancers everywhere! It takes about 10 minutes to complete...

What's with asking for my email address?

Privacy and Contactability

During the survey you will be asked to provide some sensitive information (such as rates and yearly income) as well as an email address. This is entirely optional and will be used for the following purposes:

... and that's all it will be used for. We will NEVER disclose your email address, nor will we in any way publish or use that information for anything other than the two purposes listed above (namely to contact you about the survey and if you win the prize).

If you feel at all uncomfortable we urge you to use a free mail service such as hotmail or gmail to protect your privacy but maintain a way for us to contact you, or to simply ignore the email question (though obviously you will be ineligible for the two benefits mentioned above).

Thank you for your understanding on this issue, we debated long and hard on whether to ask for email addresses, but the consensus is there is no other way to work it.
