		<description>You are correct saying a PMs job is more than communication.  I have heard it said - "moving boulders, carry water".

However, do not be so swift to put your stiletto through anything.  Unfortunately, the majority of people who hire PMs view the position as the 'communication facilitator' and the developers as cogs.  I would venture to guess that this over 70% of the case in our industry, thus the cheese paper comments are appropriate because the wrong people were placed in a manager role.</description>
