What about the slimtimer? I use it for a half year now, its free, simple, online and very comfortable. One bad point: no local installation possible.

Is Billable a once off payment or a monthly payment???

I use billable”. Definitely not as feature rich as Tick, but it gets the job done. It tracks time based on your client details. Costs $25 bucks.

Than again, I only really need something super simple.

I’ve happily been using Harvest for about a year now and I’m really pleased with it. It has full Basecamp integration, and the plan I’m on ($5 month) has served me well.

They are about to release project estimates as a new feature also.
