Thanks for the review. I like buying one, and I found an answer here I was looking for: the usb dvi, for having a second port.

Just to add a little suggestion for those who like it cheap; You can use the Nintendo DS, with a homebrew program called "Colors!". It had sweet pressure sensitive painting abilities. Look at the gallery at colors.isthething.com to see the amazing capabilities.

I have to agree with you Sterling, the Smudge Guard is a must have with tablets/Wacom units. Very comfortable, and keeps the screen much happier. ;)

I just purchased the 20wsx a few months ago and couldn't possibly be happier. About a month ago I picked up a Smudge Guard glove (just Google it!) and it has made working on the Cintiq and my Tablet PC a DREAM. It keeps your hand cooler (somehow?) when against the heat of the screen, and your hand glides over the surface with a minimal amount of friction. Takes a few hours to get used to your hand sliding a little too much perhaps, but that's a small hiccup to the impressive advantage it gives you.

And as for William Johnson's comment - my boss has the older model, the 18sx or something of the Cintiq line, and the new models are 1000% better. I was very skeptical when I ordered mine, but couldn't be happier. Very responsive, very accurate, very intuitive. My old Intuos2 tablet used to actually stress me out to draw on it, but I find the Cintiq provides the opposite effect.

Get one if you can, bottom line.

If this wasn't so expensive it would be on top of my "things to buy" list...

I've been using a regular 12" Wacom for years with good results. I tried an earlier version of the Cintiq a few years ago, and hated it. There were two problems:

1. There was a parallax problem that destroyed the illusion of actual drawing on paper -- that is, the thickness of the screen was obvious, and the brush/cursor didn't seem to be directly under the stylus point. The relationship varied depending on the angle of my head.

2. There was a noticeable, annoying time lag: the Cintiq was simply not as responsive as my regular Wacom tablet.

Maybe they've improved it since then -- I don't know -- but there aren't any local stores I can try it out in, and based on my experience I wouldn't buy one online just on faith. You can get used to the regular Wacom eventually, and it has the advantages of being cheaper and that your hand never hides what you're drawing.

The Graphire tablet line (with the exception of the Graphire Bluetooth) has been replaced with "Bamboo".

Check it out at: http://www.wacom.com/bambootablet/bamboofun.cfm

Their sexier Intuos line is even better... http://www.wacom.com/intuos/

Razvan; there isn't a cheaper option in this product line but like Dickie said, you could check out their Graphire line.

Or, if you mean tablet (as in tablet PC), you can grab a decent tablet PC on Ebay nowadays.

Plus, I'm sure there would be other Wacom options there as well.
