Keep it up, I love these podcasts because of the value they provide and they are just plain fun to listen to!
I have been following this podcast for almost a year now. Love to listen to you guys but you miss a member in your team. You miss a freelance developer (web or otherwise) and also someone outside the United States, to give all of us a freelancers perspective elsewhere.
Keep it up guys.
Great episode. On the matter of projects dragging out, in my terms I have a written policy stating that after 30 days of inactivity on any project, I send an email notice and then bill for work to date. Seems to work well, either to light a fire or get paid.
Thanks for listening all!
Here is the direct link to that interview. I don’t think the link is broken the server it’s on is just really slow for some reason?

Drop Box is amazing, here on Wodumedia as we work as far as Key West and Portugal, is like working on the same computer.
Our local servers and coda are pointing the site’s folder on dropbox so we have real time cooperation.
Great Podcast as always.
The last message has a typo: “…folder on dropbox”, and should be “…folder in dropbox”
Thanks for the shout out!!! You guys rock. You give me a lot of food for thought. Keep up the great work and can’t wait for the next episode
thanx a lot of you guyz…
This is the first episode I’ve listened to, and I really enjoyed it! I like that I can just turn it on and listen while doing other things. My favourite thing, though, was the NaNoWriMo recommendation. This is my fourth year doing NaNo, so I’m a huge fan, and to hear it recommended here was fantastic.
Hi everyone.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to John, Kristen, Dickie & Von for the brilliant advice and suggestions to my question … It’s really valued and I will be sure to implement the suggestions.
I think I’ll start with “Dear client, I hate you …” hehehe
Serioulsy though. Thank you all again for your time and you really do have a fabulous radio show going there.
Cheers
Markos
Great plug for DropBox, Von. I’ve been using it for about a year now. An awesome use for DropBox is when you need to get large print files to your clients.
Create a folder, invite people by sharing it, and your printer can grab their files or your virtual coworkers can have access to your big fat Photoshop awesomeness. SO MUCH EASIER than FTP.
So many uses! Great plug, gang…
Great reco Von! DropBox is fantastic. I basically have any files I am working on versioned and backed up over the internet.
Dude… I listen to Huey Lewis all the time when I create. That’s some funny sh*t right there.
I just added Freelance Radio to my Podcast subscriptions and this is exactly what I have been looking for! Loved my first listen and now I’ll go back and catch up with the old ones. I’ll be sending in some questions shortly. Thanks for the content!
