The other day I saw a jacuzzi that had a twitter panel on it.

    The intro is too long.

I have caught myself investing so much time maintaining my social networks (the little that I do have) that I forget to stay busy with live, paying jobs. If I have time to maintain a plethora of social networks, more than likely I am out of work. If I am not working, I’m not generating income. Since my social networks have not proven themselves to be “cash cows,” I would much rather get some face time with prospective clients and network on a personal level—a technique that has proven itself to generate business.

Don’t get me wrong, I believe networking is the best method of generating business. But where do you draw the line with online social networks? How much is too much? If you have the free time, find a way to get paid!

Man, FreelanceRadio is starting to be a commercial for Twitter. Is there some sort of endorsement going on? I’ve actually been wondering if social networking is a viable, no-cost marketing tool so this was an interesting episode. BTW, the link to the HOW forums needs to be edited. Keep those podcasts rolling.
