Yay! Cant wait to download Monday at work
Soon we’ll have an episode where John can talk about the environment we forced him to record from, but in the meantime, thanks to everyone for listening!
Great Stuff as usual guys!
Aloke
Hey John,
That link for Anti9to5 doesnt work.
I think she meant to say http://www.anti9to5guide.com/
Hope I helped
Aloke
Hey Gang,
Thanks for the podcast as always. That said, it is extremely difficult to pick up on some of the conversation because of the tunnel sounds (which Dickie already mentioned) and also some choppiness. Was Skype acting up? In any event, thanks again for all of your efforts.
Thanks to everyone for taking the timeout to do these. It’s great hearing all the great practical advice. I’m trying to build up the courage to go back to making books after a year off (Just in time for Indesign CS4). I’m kinda scared but that’s ok… I have freelance switch to turn to! LOL
Where can I get that industry rates pdf that she was talking about? I could use that.
nevermind…i see the link above.
Quite a relief to listen to! Nice to hear that not everyone is so expert in separating their work and life and how they overlap or impinge on one another. I was half expecting to feel bad about my less than clear boundary between work, play and family, but now I feel on a par with your guests. Phew!
Hey guys I really love the podcast! one thing though… I would love it even more if it were broken up into chapters/sections… Sometimes I don’t listen to it at all just cause I know I won’t be able to finish it. I’d really love to, at times, skip to the parts that are more relevant to me.
Thoughts?
Thanks, James
Congrats to Dickie! I wishes all the best to him and his family.
You really should get that 9 to 5 link changed. It currently points to a link farm.
The correct link, as Aloke Pillai pointed out, is http://www.anti9to5guide.com/
is it me alone or the sound quality is really bad??
The show host “John” was in a less than ideal environment for recording thus the hostage quality audio at times. We decided it was worth getting a show out for content and information sake even though the level of audio finesse would be below par.
Consider this episode an exception to the otherwise well crafted audio quality.
Thanks for your ear centric patience.
Von
Haha, Von, I love that my name is in quotes. “John” is merely an alias I use, a persona I adopt to protect those around me.
Can we get this via iTunes?
