Didn’t know FS has an audio show.
I’m enjoying more this community every day!
This was a short podcast, i enjoyed the working remotely part though.
Wow, Cyan is back, awesome
Another great podcast. Cyan makes a great point about finding a place that is already furnished. I have found that if you’re traveling around Southeast Asia (I’m currently in Viet Nam) and single, it’s easiest to find a hotel at a suitable rate. Typically they offer free breakfast, daily room cleaning, and tend to be close to cheap food outlets. Obviously places like Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong will be more expensive, but Bangkok, Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia, or any place in that ilk are extremely affordable, even more so than relatively Western countries.
This one was shorter than others, but then again, people said those were too long for them.
Is it just me or does it feel like there’s a lot of wasted time and little useful content in these podcasts?
You listen for 30 minutes or so and there’s about 3-5 main points amongst a bunch of chatter. The points may be good, but they could be made in 5 or 10 minutes. It would be easier to listen to and allow for more real content. I feel like these suffer from a lack of focus and planning.
I have to say this was about 10x better than I expected it would be. This is worth a permanent place in your podcasting tackle box. The host really brought it all together tightly. Sounded like it was done in an expensive production studio, although I’m sure it was not, which is really cool.
Very informative show and a good blend of tips and Recommends.
Would like to see in the Podcasts or regular post some info on handling taxes when working remotely.
Understanding that there’s different tax structures and approaches, but how about software or online packages and how is working in a different country handled? Is there still a ‘home base’?
Cyan mentioned that she and Collis don’t have much in paperwork to carry in their travels. Great!
How have they or anyone handled the different documents it seems we’re required (at least in the States) to hold onto?
Thanks for this site and especially the really helpful Tuts on Envato!!
Anyone ever feel like Benek’s comments are a lot of wasted time and little useful content?
You read for 30 seconds or so and there’s about 1-2 main points amongst a bunch of chatter. The points may be good, but they could be made in 5 or 10 words. It would be easier to read and allow for more real content. I feel like these suffer from a lack of focus and planning. ;P
Thanks for the comments folks. Even the negative ones, which we shred and feed to the birds (while still trying to make them relevant).
So glad Cyan is back!
And I like the chatter.
