I still have yet to listen (I missed this episode) but I don’t know what to make of the title…

I know you didn’t mean any disrespect for Columbus, but it WAS the first place you mention that you would take a job in. There is really nothing wrong with Columbus; I’ve been here for nearly 15years now, and love it (mostly).

I didn’t mean to disrespect Columbus at all — I just grabbed from memory some random American city that isn’t New York. It’s all relative, I suppose, there are thousands of farm-towns to which Columbus is “the big city”, but for those of us who are used to getting Moroccan food at 3 am and going swing dancing 6 nights a week, most cities fall short. Please don’t be offended.
Thanks again to Dickie and John for having me, I had lots of fun. And of course I renewed my hatred for my own voice. I really need to spot saying “um” before sentences. (that’s the sorta thing I usually edit out of my own ‘casts).

Why does this podcast (and episode 13) run at double speed when using the little flash widget to listen to it? It sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks talking about freelancing. I don’t think it is my computer’s fault, since episode 12 and before sound normal.
Also, is there any possibility of providing a direct link to the mp3 version for those of us that use our browsers to download files from the internet?

Mike: The flash widget works fine on my PC. So either it’s been fixed, or something is happening on your comp.

Another great show and lots to think about. Getting your image/persona consistent across all platforms is something so important, but when you are starting out you don’t necessarily think about it. So it’s a good reminder to revisit all those places on the Internet you have been (Blogs, websites, even message boards?) and check what it says about you. Now I’m off to post a question on the forum…
