Who’s it aimed at?
You’ll need a good knowledge of basic web design – HTML and CSS in particular – but the book doesn’t assume you know anything about either PHP or WordPress.
Is it up to date for WordPress 2.7?
It sure is, we’ve added a section about comment threading and updated general admin details to match the new interface.
Will it be available in print, or only online?
The book is currently a PDF Ebook only and is packaged with Photoshop PSD files, HTML, and the three themes. We’re looking now at getting a print version available with an accompanying CD, but it might be a little while.
How much does it cost? Is there a refund policy?

See what’s humorous to me, is that I have never built a site with wordpress, yet i bought the book instantly when i received the email telling me it was out. I’ve always used either Drupal, Envotu, or Joomla in the past.
I’ve only skimmed through the pdf but from what i’ve seen it looks pretty good and complete. I’m sure once i finish it I’ll do at least a couple sites in wordpress rather than the above mentioned alternatives, if only for giggles.
Nice ebook, just gone though the sample chapter and I am really impressed with the details.

Brilliant, I’ve been waiting for this for a while, just downloaded my copy. I’m currently switching the website for my employer to wordpress. I’ve used wordpress a lot but never themed from scratch so this is a very welcome addition to my library, and brilliant timing.

I really couldn’t take a book written by a 15 year seriously. Good on him to for getting into web at such a young age and starting out with a freelance career but at such a you age he has nowhere near enough experience IMO. – I know this sounds cold but its just the way I feel.
Personally I think most articles posted on any of the envato sites a really for ammeters, I don’t know why I keep reading them. I guess its because they keep coming up on delicious :-S.
I’ve skimmed through the preview pages and it seemed a little too basic for me; I’ll wait until a few people review it. The chapters titles does seem to have some promising stuff.
@Anonymous Coward – I love the work that Envato produces and I will be buying this book – but I think you’re right, and I feel that the review in question was strangely out of place, out of character and convenitently published just days before the launch of the Rockstar WP book.
Fishy and underhand. To my mind, not in the spirit of WordPress and its community.
Regardless, I’ve been waiting for its release for months and i’ll be damned anyone is going to put me off buying it! (unless someone posts a review and says its rubbish!

This is much needed! Question, will it have “advanced” examples for very custom layouts?
I’ve made a few themes already for WordPress. What can this book tell me? Better design layouts or is it relatively basic when it comes to WordPress? I assume it talks about the Codex and The Loop?
