Question: Why are you guys Faking Your Subscriber Count? Me and a couple of friends unsusbscribed … refreshed and subscribed back. The count should have droped 3 and added afterwords 3. This is not so nice of you guys. I just read this http://rubiqube.com/faking-your-subscriber-count-is-it-worth-it/#comment-45 and i figured it out. So what are you guys gonna do about it?

  9. PG drake

I mean to say … i like freelanceswitch very much. And i enjoy reading it, but why do you guys fake the subscriber count? Is it worth it? Just to justify the 3000$ / month ads?

  10. PG Ben Griffiths

    Maybe it’s cached?

  11. PG Muck from F-F

    Thanks Skellie! You’re a peach!

  12. PG Chris O'Connor

Maybe its not a live number… they could very well just update it every week/month or so.

  13. PG Chris O'Connor

Relative to the post though – Anyone out there using Harvest? I’m trying it out, and can’t decide if I like it better than FreeAgentCentral. It’s a few bucks cheaper.. but that’s about it from what I’ve seen.

  14. PG Jon Phillips

@drake They’re not faking the subscriber count, see this: http://feeds.feedburner.com/~fc/freelanceswitch

Feedburner updates everyday (around 5am for me, I’m in Montreal), so I guess they’re just displaying their ‘average’ subscriber count, which is really fine I think, they still got over 23K subscribers :)

  15. PG Tuan Nguyen

    Thank you!
