Job Board Improvements & Updates + Win a Free 1 Year Subscription

Since we launched the FreelanceSwitch job board in 2007, it has been a big success. It is one of the most popular freelance job boards on the Internet because of its high quality and tough standards; when we moderate jobs, we ensure that they’re good for freelancers, making fair requests and paying fair pay.

I personally got my start with Envato by applying for a job writing articles for the PSDTUTS Wiki on that board, so I’m not unfairly biased – I was a user first, moderator second! Before my run-in with Envato I scored plenty of other writing work too and still often consider that $7 a month some of the best money I’ve ever spent. No joke and not an ad, but you’d be crazy not to sign up.

Currently, we have close to 150 jobs open and consistently about five or more new jobs per day come in (not to mention the million get-rich-quick schemes and so-called “revenue sharing arrangements” that you don’t get to see). We’ve made some changes to improve the experience for both job searchers and job posters:

  • We’ve added search – now you can see a full listing of all open jobs based on your keywords.
  • Job posters can now use a WYSIWYG editor to add formatting to their posts, such as lists, bolding or italics.
  • Posters can now go back and edit their advert after the fact.
  • We’re also now running job applications through a form on the site based on an email address the employer gives us to help reduce spamming.

For the occassion we’d like to give away three 1-year subscriptions to our readers. If you leave a comment on this post explaining why you’d like a subscription before Monday the 9th of March, you’ll be in the running to win. Make sure that if you have a job board account already, you use the same email address that you use for your account in the comment’s email field.

  1. PG Sam Wieck

I’m just getting started as a part-time freelancer (in response to losing my part-time design job) to get myself through design school. So this would open up some great avenues for me :)

  2. PG DVQ

I am always looking to expand my knowledge and expertise, and by being given the opportunity to work with clients from all around the world, would be a great experience.

  3. PG Brian

I’ve just been through a disheartening week of scrabbling for work on Craigslist and the like, and a subscription to a board of well-versed clients that value quality work would be a big pickmeup.

  4. PG Jeremy

I’m a part time freelancer preparing to expand into a full time one in a few months, and an account to find quality (not those ‘I have an idea, you do it and give me 80%’ deals) jobs that also have potential to expand into future work.

  5. PG vigorpr

Please count me in! I just recently quit my day job and I’m now a freelance writer and publicist who’s HUNGRY for opportunities. Winning a subscription will definitely pave the way for excellent gigs that I wouldn’t be able to find in craigslist or any other market. Cheers!

  6. PG Naz

Because the quality of your photographic listings, even though they are few, are of such high standards.

  7. As the owner of my own freelance company, I depend on job sites for a lot of my new clients and new work. Any opportunity to cut cost is well worth it to me and I would really appreciate one less bill to pay each month. Thank you so much for providing an incredible service FS and working to continue to improve it!

  8. PG 3kolone

it is really one of the best job boards online, but it is shame so you can’t see data to apply when you are looking for a job … I am always looking for some freelance job so account would be nice :-P

  9. PG Kim

I would love to win a subscription, being a student about to graduate and jump into freelance illustration. The illustration postings seem a bit thin on the ground for this particular board, but I’d be appreciative, all the same. =) I’ve checked out a lot of freelance job boards, and the quality of postings is borderline insulting – this one looks like it actually cares about the freelancers, rather than just the employers.

  10. PG Lynn Wallenstein

I would love an account due to the high quality of the job posts and I am currently trying to get enough work to employ a couple of my friends who lost jobs recently but need a push to get into freelancing. Every bit helps!

  11. PG Sebastian

I would like to win a subscription in order to balance my work load, so that the ups and downs aren’t as steep.

  12. PG ardhian.satrya

I need more clients and jobs to survive in this cruel freelance world!! A bit help from your site would make this “cruel” world a bit sweeter, well for me at least ;)

  13. PG Sean

I’d like an account. I’ve joined a few freelancing sites in the past and have not had good experiences and at this point am a little hesitant to try out a new one. A 1 year subscription would be a great way to get me on board.

I am also intrigued as this board already has listings for ExpressionEngine experts – my focus in development.

  14. PG A.Wood

I’d love an account. I’m new to freelance design, and, with me still being a student, I think being able to use the great resources that Freelance Switch can provide would allow me to advance greatly. It would be a great privilege to have access to these resources.

Thank you, and keep up the Great work!

    A.Wood

  15. PG JoshuaRJones

Finding, and joining this site was a big deal for me. You guys have really pushed me forward with my freelance career, and can’t thank you all enough for the effort you have put into the site.

I could go on explaining how this has become the only site I come to for job postings now, but I’m sure reading that over and over gets old.

Put clearly, a one year subscription would help me pay my bills, and get my fiancee & I an apartment to live in.

You guys rock, keep up the great work!

  16. PG MexicanMaus

    I’m 30 years old.
I get paid less than some trainees, although I’ve been working here for three years and a half.
Last year I made 6.000.000 € worth of advertising for t his company, and they say they will give me a raise.
My green card says this company “owns” me for some time.

    Guess what? time is over.

I have my papers, I have the experience, I don’t have money, and I need work to leave this place.

    help!

  17. PG Slobodan

I would really loved to get this subscription. It will help me great deal with my Ruby/Rails freelancing business. Thanks.

  18. PG Japh

Love the sounds of the new features! :)

I’m a developer just starting out freelancing. I’d love to win a subscription, because I admire the Freelance Switch network, and appreciate the opportunity to have access to a moderated job board.

To be honest, there’s a very good chance I will register regardless in the not-so-distant future. But obviously a free subscription will be a wonderful saving for me while starting out.

    Thanks!

  19. PG Soha

Please count me in as well! I’m always looking to expand my knowledge and expertise, and the ability to work with clients from all around the world, would be a great experience. I’m also a part-timr freelancer at the moment hoping to make it full-time soon. Thanks!

  20. PG HolaJoan

It’d be very useful to be able to have this one year subscription since I’m planning to go full time!
    Thank you!

  21. PG Oscar

Hi, this is my first comment here but not the first time i read FS. I usually read you by RSS and Twitter.
I’m very interested in this subscription because i’m a freelance web designer based in Spain looking for some new projects, and i can work to others countrys or regions. So i’m available to hire. ;) and this jobboard is one of the best places to keep in touch with the market.
Feel free to visit my website if you want!

Congratulations for this FS and for your books.

  22. PG Justin

Just “downsized” from my long term job, looking to start my own business and the opportunity to find some extra work to fill the gaps would be great!

  23. PG Hari

I’m a soon-to-be graduate and I’d love an account to help myself from becoming a corporate sell out. ;)

  24. PG Joanne

I am a freelance Graphic Designer. I have a few clients but I need to find more. Winning a free subscription to the job board would be a great help and save me money as well.

Freelance Switch is one of the blogs I read everyday. It has useful information and I recommend it to everyone.

  25. PG Laurel

This would be great since I’m really trying to push my freelancing graphic design. I had to take a job as a secretary since there’s no design jobs open in my area. So a subscription would truly help out! :)

  26. PG Jacob Boomgaarden

I’m just getting started in the world of freelancing but have been listening to Freelance Switch Radio since pretty much episode 1. You guys give great advice and always with a sense of humor!

I’d love to win this free subscription as I’m finally starting out searching for additional clients beyond those that I first started up freelancing with.

    Thanks!

  27. PG Dave Sherohman

I’d like a subscription because I’ve just moved halfway around the world (Minnesota to Sweden) and, in the process, lost both of the major clients who provided the bulk of my work over the last year and a half. Looking for new clients to replace them has been rough and the people I’ve been talking to around here about where to look have generally just been trying to steer me towards monster.se and other sites which deal primarily in permanent positions or full-time, on-site contracting, presumably because they don’t understand what “freelancing” means.

A reliable source of high-quality freelancing projects (i.e., not the “make me a 100% functional ebay clone for $500 without reusing any existing code and can you have it done by next Tuesday?” sites) would be immensely valuable for getting things going again.

  28. PG Monique

Ditto here. I have been doing freelance for awhile, but am always looking for more work. I regularly read your posts and think this site is a great resource. Tweeting this.

  29. PG Joe Casabona

I’ve been using the job boards since the summer and I think they are great- I’ve gotten some good work off of them.

A free subscription would be awesome!

  30. PG RSBPublishing

What a great way for me to brag about Freelance Switch to the world! I could not only talk about the free subscription, blog about it on triiibes.com, or the five other media sites I belong to or run, but I could twitter it to friends, tell my clients too. Nice! So yes! I would love a subscription. I do very well on Elance.com, am an up and coming author (book deal done), ghostwriter, photographer and will be headed to the TED Global 2009 Conference in July (http://johnnybunko.com). So, lots of good things happening or getting ready to happen, but I’m in between them or waiting on them all to happen now. A free subscription would be great because I’m in a position to not only enjoy and appreciate it, but visible enough that my posting and promotion about it would bring MORE jobs to the folks here at Freelance Switch. I’m all about sharing the wealth…see lessonseven.com. Thanks for the generous offer! Three lucky people will be very grateful I’m sure! Good luck to all who enter!

  31. PG Andy Stratton

I don’t need a free subscription, I’d just like to say thanks for helping all those freelancers out there stay afloat and gain more experience to become/remain rockstars.

    Thanks!

  32. PG Valentin Muller

Well, i always read freelanceswitch, but i would like to get the free subscription because i’m 19 years old and i started using photoshop when i was 14, this is my first year after finished the school and i know I WANT to live of freelancing, i love designing and i love the colours, sos I would like to have a good start for this project in my life, getting some serious work .

Also, in my country ( Argentina ) it’s very hard to get a verified paypal account, so my possibilities to get one are almost 10% since my parents dont use any credit cards . So my only way to pay is via Western Union or earning some money with an unverified paypal account untill i reach the limits of the accout .

    Thanks,
    Valentin Muller

  33. PG dmk

i’d like a free subscription please. why? because i want to give it to the Bristol Design Collective to start their business up for them. IS all.

  34. PG Ce.

I’m workaholic. I need an account.

  35. PG Dan

I’d like a free subscription because I’m poor and can’t find clients :(

I’m in college but my work is solid (web design).

  36. PG Rick

I already have a subscription to your job boards. I found that the jobs listed there are usually great opportunities for freelancers. Keep up the good work!

  37. PG Adam Griffiths

I’m currently studying at college and have a typical students budget. I’m also starting my freelance business which takes up a lot of time and resources, so a years subscription to the job board would allow me to build my business and extend my college budget to improve my productivity and work flow. A happy freelancer is the best type of freelancer. :)

  38. PG Andy

I’d greatly appreciate a free subscription, because design & code are my addiction,
I should really sign up anyway but I already struggle to find time in the day.
My girlfriend is often away so I freelance to kill the day but cashflow is low, so I’ve not really got the doh,
right now worked lined up is good but its all too often slow,
which is why a subscription would be great oh yeah, oh yes, oh yay.

  39. PG Alexia

I’ve been freelancing for a while both writing and web devlopment and I’m trying to get more writing clients. I think a subscription to the FreelanceSwitch would help!

  40. PG Susan

I’m a freelance writer who made the jump to full time freelancing almost a year ago. I’d love a 1-year subscription to help me find a few more steady clients (wouldn’t we all?).

  41. PG WEBBOgrafico

I’m a freelance webdesigner always in search for an interesting job. I think a subscription to this service will be great so I hope to win!

  42. PG Jason Fox

I’ve got 13-month-old twins. Enough said.

    Fox

  43. PG Lisa

A free subscription would be great, not only because in this economy every freelancer could use an extra edge, but also — it’s tough getting back into freelancing (after time off for childcare, an MFA, elderly parentcare, etc.).

  44. PG Karyl

I’m a freelance illustrator & designer living in semi-rural Northern Canada. As you might guess, there are not a lot of local leads here in my field, so I need all the help I can get in finding projects outside of my own backyard. Having access to the job board would help me locate more interesting and relevant clients and projects, on a more regular basis. This would be a wonderful boon, please help me out!

  45. PG Bryan

I would like a subscription to the job board because it truly is the job board that is best for freelancers in terms of fairness and quality of jobs. I am a young freelancer who, at the start of their career, doesn’t have a significant client base to draw constant work from and who relies to some degree on the freelance and contract job boards of the internet. Being a young freelancer mean i have to scrap for clients with more established freelancers, watch out for more opportunistic clients as well as live on a tight budget. I constantly see great jobs posted on the Freelance Switch job board but I am unable, on a college budget, to spring for the monthly fee. I would like to subscription to help kick start my freelance career and find the most interesting and fairest jobs possible.

  46. PG Kim Smith

My job was eliminated one year ago. It was a part-time position, but I had been there almost 12 years. So, I decided to ramp-up my freelance design business. I’m still working on that.

No “regular” job has surfaced, though I’ve interviewed for many. The unemployment rate in Michigan, where I live, is the highest in the nation. So, in the meantime, I will continue to do all the freelance work that I can. I would love a year’s subscription to the job board to help me along my way!

I can’t get enough of the FSW podcast–greetings to John, Kristen, Cyan, Dickie, and Vaughn! You make my day whenever I get to listen to a new episode!

  47. PG Pablo

I’m ocassionaly part-time freelancer but willing to be full time, I think this is a great oportunity to make some new clients and leave my current full time job.

Thanks a lot for this oportunity!!!

  48. I’d love a year’s subscription! I’m giving up with the “free” job boards where everyone wants a “cheap rockstar” (now there’s an oxymoron!). Your site is honest and reputable. Read my blog blasting oDesk, who allows ANY post–even US buyers looking to pay only $1.00/hour! http://www.azzcatdesign.com/blog

  49. PG Aetoric Design

I’ve been freelancing for 5 years and still have to dig through job boards for hours on end to find only a few jobs, so the way I see it, the more job boards, the higher chances of landing a paying gig. Plus, I’ve heard very nice things about the FreelanceSwitch Job Board. OK THX BAI!

  50. PG Anlina Sheng

I’m in the process of making the move from moonlighting to doing freelance in a more full time capacity, and I would love a one year subscription to your job board. Your job board looks to be one of the few quality ones that focus on treating everyone fairly – here, I’m not drowning in requests for spec work and $25 logo designs that seem to plague so many other freelance job boards.

The switch to full time freelancing is a challenging one, and a one year subscription would give me a good boost – being able to connect with good clients who have realistic expectations and reasonable budgets!

  51. PG jeremy

This site is awesome.. makes lots of sense.. you know i went to architecture school and they dont teach you business sense.. this site is like my second university!

  52. PG curtismchale

I would love a subscription to try and get some work. Nothing fancy but getting more clients is always a great thing.

  53. PG Jared Penner

I am just out of web design school and am doing everything I can to start my own web and graphic design company in an area monopolized by a few other larger companies. I have a full time job at the moment and am wanting to start up my own business, to support my growing family. My work is solid but I just need the opportunity. (the pickings are slim around here and my last client turned me down for a $500 dollar site)

  54. PG Danielle

I’m fed up with seeing insulting job offers on Craigslist and the like.

  55. PG Timur

    Hello Freelance Switch,

I would love a free subscription for another year, it would be an excellent chance for me to help out more people with their web design, graphic design and interactive media projects.

Your job board is a great source of freelance work and great place for business owners to find the provider that will solve their problems. If given a freebie for a year, I would dedicate myself even more to producing high-quality work for my clients.

    Thank You,
    Timur

  56. Hello well I need a lot that subscription, I’m a freelancer but here in Mexico the things are going very bad the sales are down so I’m trying to find some new leads and clients but since december I haven’t had any gig or job…

    Thanks

  57. PG Rich Bailey

I have a business that has been Incorporated now for 2 years. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until now that I’m truly getting around to improving my skills within Photoshop and Illustrator. I’m currently unemployed and am taking the leap towards doing Freelance as my means of income. The yearly membership with your site would be a blessing as it can allow me to always apply for opportunities without a large number of applicants. Thanks for offering the subscription and I hope I’m among the selected individuals. Have a good day.

  58. PG RochelleB

I’m a full-time freelance writer and editor, and business has been steady since I threw myself into the work last May. But this week, it all came, suddenly, to a screeching halt. I do high-quality work and have excellent experience in my field. Many of the job posting sites out there are, well, crap, so I’d definitely need a subscription to one as carefully moderated as this one. Thank you.

  59. PG Janelle

I’ve never been on freelanceswitch, but I’m one to sing praises loud and clear. The reality is that I’m still in the I-count-every-penny (of income and expense) stage of my freelance career, so it may be be a while before I can sound the call of freelanceswitch’s wondrous-ness. I hope not though.

    Ah, rhetoric.

It’s hard asking for something. Maybe that’s what freelancing teaches us to do best–ask.

  60. PG Eric

I’d like a subscription before Monday, because this weekend I have big plans to go all-out job hunting :D

  61. PG aldrin

Hi i’m a freelance web designer and developer, and i really love to join to this community and get some freelance work. I found a lot of good quality post jobs and hopefully if i’ll be given a chance even just for a month to be a premium account i would never miss everyday on this board.

  62. PG sarah

I am getting to the bottom of my to-do list, which seems like a bad sign.

My goal is to become a digital gypsy by the end of the year, couchsurfing and WWOOFing through Europe & the Meditteranean basin while I work. In order to make this happen, I need to build more relationships with long-term clients.

FreelanceJobs has an excellent selection of potential clients and doesn’t make me want to curl up in a ball crying like Kijiji listings.

Make my dreams come true, FreelanceSwitch!

  63. PG Melanie Richards

I’ve never used a job board before and would be very interested in trying it out. I’m currently developing a marketing plan for my business, and trying to be pro-active in finding work. That said, the job board could be a great addition to my efforts, and no doubt a free subscription could be a great incentive to test it out and see what kinds of results it could yield.

    Thanks!

  64. PG Brooke

I’m a full-time freelancer and would love free access to a quality job board, especially from Envato. Craiglist just doesn’t quite yield the results I’d like.

  65. PG Paula

I have been freelancing for a year now and have survived on dwindling referrals. However, I really need to kick up my act and this would be the incentive I need to finish my website/blog and get moving.

No matter what, thank you for giving up opportunities like this.

  66. PG George

I’m just transitioning from part-time to full-time freelance design and could really use a place to find steady work. I’m very sick of the wishy-washy client attitudes and cutthroat rates of typical boards. Thank you.

  67. PG Serve The Song

I just signed up for the paid job board account yesterday, and already I’ve had two responses from potential clients. It’s definitely worth the $7/month.

That said, I wouldn’t mind saving that cash for a couple coffees… Can I get in on the free pass giveaway?

  68. PG Justin DiMucci

Looking to find some freelance gigs on the side and what better place than your job board.

  69. PG Mary Ann

Isn’t simply wanting it reason enough. I just do. Thanks.

  70. PG John Swaringen

I was a full-time employee and part-time freelancer up until November of last year. I got laid off thanks to the wonderful economy world wide and frankly I could use the work. I’ve wanted to go “all the way” into freelancing and it looks like I’m going to have to.

    I’d love the free subscription.

    Thanks.

  71. PG Jeff Witters

I to like many above have tried other freelancing boards to generate leads and have found them not to be rewarding experiences at all.

That being said I would love to have the chance to use FSW job board.

  72. PG Amy Crook

I’ve been doing most of my work with one client for years now, and the current troubles have them sinking faster than they can bail, which is forcing me to rethink the way I do freelancing. I’d love a job board account to help me dive in!

  73. PG Shiho

I’ve been reading Freelance Switch for years and have recommended it to my fellow freelancers. It’s hard to find a good job board in my field (illustration), and while illustration posts here are few in number, they are high in quality. I would love a free subscription to give it a try.

  74. PG [vladi]

I would like to congratulate you for your valuable site. The Job board is really good, but your biggest value is in the blog – the advise for freelancers. Free subscription or not, I have already won ;-)

  75. PG miriam

I promise that if I win, I will come to the site daily to look for projects and won’t let my subscription go to waste! Thanks for all you’ve done for the freelancing community, this is by far the best website to find a gig!

  76. PG James

I could use this subscription because, frankly, I need all the extra income I can get.

  77. PG Jonathan

I’ve been freelancing for a while and have never subscribed to a job board. I definitely could use a great resource like this to acquire more clients.

  78. PG Laurie

I too could benefit from a subscription to the boards… thanks! :)

  79. PG Jason

A free subscription would REALLY help me out. I have been out of work since December (got laid off two weeks before Christmas – on a Friday with no notice) and the local job market had dried up. I’m trying to keep food on the table for my three lovely daughters. I’ve been taking every freelance job that comes my way, but this would help immensely.

    Thanks!!

  80. PG Jaz

    cos I should be freelancing fulltime… :)

  81. PG Javier

I’ve been a faithful reader of freelanceswitch for about 2 years now, I used to work for a newspaper and I’m currently looking for a job that doesn’t involve serving tables or flipping burgers again. Thank you

  82. PG Corto

I need work to make freelance switch!!

  83. PG malcolm

I would love a subscription. I’m taking a huge leap in a month and moving to Europe. I’m going to be relying solely on web based freelance work to survive and could use the subscription cost to buy things…..like food.
    Thanks!

  84. PG John Wang

I’m a part time freelancer preparing to go into full time freelancing. An account to find jobs that also have potential to expand into future work.

  85. PG Jeff

    I’d love a year registration
I think it’d be a great resource for helping me get new jobs

  86. PG Jacob

I would like to win a year subscription because I always comment for contests, but never win. Over the years, losing all the time made me feel sad, and I believe that wining this one time would give me hope again.

    This is a true story.

  87. PG Pablo Cordero

I just started doing freelance work and a year subscription will definitely help me get new clients. Thanks for the opportunity!

  88. PG Solomon

I’m a freelance copywriter from India. I have had over 12 yrs of agency experience in copywriting. Currently I’m working independently with a couple of good clients. I write brochures, ad-campaigns, web content etc. I do get work from my existing clients, but would like to expand my expertise to overseas clients. I’m happy to sign up for subscription. Though it’s not the first time to visit your site, I feel this is the first time to comment on your blog. I thank you for your good blog and anticipate to benefit from it to ramp up my freelance career!

  89. PG Ashwin

    Pitch Begins!

5 Incredible, Earth-Shattering, Reasons Why I Deserve The Best (That Includes the FS Board, Ahem!)

I had to tell you this and now you give me a public invitation to do so and get awarded with a 1 yr subscription( possibly!). Ah, things can’t get better:

    1. As Stephen Bayne puts it ” I am rather like a mosquito in a nudist camp; I know what I want to do, but I don’t know where to begin”. Wouldn’t the FS Job Board be a good answer for my freelance writing needs?

    2. I write on a broad range of genres like Business and Finance, Health, Internet and Technology, Automotive and Mechanical engineering apart from doling out e-books, business/finance reports, business plans, Web copy, Copy writing and the works. I can produce content that is informative, helpful,well-researched and engaging. Now all of this writing needs a medium. What better way to do that than finding clients off the FS Job Board?

    3. I am an accredited MBTI and DISC trainer (a certified Behavioral Analyst) and I take up corporate training programs, Business Coaching and Life Coaching with delegates (Individuals or groups) working for my client companies.Apart from that, My writing is backed by a solid footing in fundamentals– thanks to my Mechanical Engineering degree and an MBA from Ohio University, Athens, US. I have had experience working as a Business Development Manager with Standard Chartered Bank for 2 years and I have been writing ever since Microsoft Word (Not withstanding Open-office and other nifty word-processing programs) came into existence. All of that competence needs space to belch into; work space to express my art-form; a medium to be showcased; a window to peek out of and support to flourish. You now have a chance to do that.

    4. If you got good clients, they expect nothing but the best off their investment. They come to the FS Board looking for talent they could outsource their work to. They usually get hit by freelancers(hey, I am not saying everyone is like this, but most are and I am ready to get flamed or banned) who are incompetent, unreliable or plain flaky. I have been writing for the past 5 years and your clients need people like me who swear by their freelance writing businesses and do this all day and even give a money-back guarantee. Nothing beats the great feeling of having done well for your clients .Now, you know whose door to knock on, don’t you?

    5. The whole business world out there, your group of companies included, is looking for great talent. When talent itself knocks on your doors (or comments on your blog posts, like I am doing now), you just can’t help but notice it. My shameless plugs and loud-mouthed promotion might just get me flamed or banned out-right, but living in naked positivity is the only choice I have. I got to sell myself to make a living and fund my dreams.

I won’t paint a sorry picture nor will I recite hymns about not being able to find jobs. Just that the FS job board will be a great place for me to sell my skills and an easy way for your clients to find the pulsating-star-that-needs-some-platform-for-heavens-sake talent that’s me.

    Pitch ends!

If this doesn’t work, I still have to hit Skellie’s Inbox. YAYAYAYAYAY

I’ve just started freelancing I’m trying to learn as much as I can so I can be an efficient, resourceful and smart freelancer. A free subscription would definitely be super fantastic!

  91. PG Scott

I am currently just getting my start in the Freelance design field and I’m loving every minute of it. I am always looking for new jobs/clients to help expand me knowledge in the field.

Plus a 1 year subscription would just be amazing!

  92. PG Andrew Turner

I’d love to be able to win a FSw Job Board subscription because it’d be able to help me build up my portfolio, as i’m finishing school this year i’d love to be able to have a strong portfolio behind me for when i do finish.

I think the job board would be able to help me not only gather jobs, but learn a valuable skill in client communication and bettering my skills before that.

This not only would be a good opportunity for me to build up a portfolio, but a reputation and a further advancing web skill set.

  93. PG Michel

I am a good Web & graphic designer, I am an expert in CSS/HTML/XHTML, I work freelance, so… why not? :-)

  94. PG Cristian Livadaru

I started this month as full time Freelancer after quitting my job. I already have an payd subscription, but since I just started I can use every extra cent I can get and every project I can put my hands on.
A one year subscription would be a great help and I am sure if things run fine I will remain a loyal subscriber to the Job Board.
With the 7$ saved a month I could fuel my coffee addiction :)

  95. PG karansinh

I am a freelance Website designer and i am looking for jobs to work on. 1 year freelanceswitch free subscription will be a great startup for my freelancing business to grow.

  96. PG Brad Nunnally

I was one of the ‘lucky’ ones that got laid off at the first of the year. I was fortunate to find another job, but being jobless was very scary. In order to prevent that from happening again I want to set up a freelancing side business so that no matter what, I will be able to provide for my family and not rely on friends, family, or unemployment to get by.

  97. PG Mbark

  98. PG Writing Kimberly

Pick me! Pick me! I’m a freelance writer who has been nicknamed “El Cheapo.” So while it would take me a year to work up the motivation to pay $7/month, I could be doing work for that whole year and raving about your site (if it’s good!) on Twitter and my blog and the like.

Fine… I’ll admit it. I nicknamed myself “El Cheapo.” But you probably already knew that from my use of passive voice.

  99. Hello, I am a 29 yr. old Graphic Designer from Mexico.

And i´ve finally started freelancing, and to tell you the truth, im looking forward into working for bigger better markets, help out in proyects, and hopefully start being recognized for some or even little of my work.

Thanks for this great oportunity, keep up the great work.

  100. PG DaveWR

I moved without a job (wife got one out of state) right before the market crash and I decided now would be the best time to start up a freelance company! Of course being brand new to the full-time freelance any chance to be a part of a job resource would be immensely beneficial and I will build a paper shrine in honor of your site if I am chosen to be… one of the chosen. That was a terrible run-on sentence.

  101. PG Brandon

I have a full time job, but trying to work hard to get my own business up and running during the off hours to get ahead. Would love the opportunity to be able to get new clients. Thanks!

  102. PG David

I have been freelancing part-time for a couple of years now, but finding work has been the hardest part. This could be the step to bring me out of part time, and into FULL TIME!!!

    ….what a dream……………

  103. PG Conrad

I really enjoy this site and I freelance on the side apart from my full time job as a graphic designer. With things being tight the way they are and a baby in the house I can use all the extra work I can get. I am always looking to improve my skills and help people with their design needs.

  104. PG Shane Rielly

I just moved to London from my small town home in South Africa and this place is HUGE! I don’t know anyone here so networking is a hectic problem. Winning this subscription would afford me a great opportunity to get out there and meet some potential clients.
    Plus I’m a really great guy!! :)

  105. PG Nic

I’m looking to start in the freelance world and this site definitely has the best resources for doing so. I just graduated from college and have to start paying on student loans next month, so a free account on Monday would help ease the pain.

  106. PG Elle

i’m still relatively new to the freelancing world (as a web programmer/developer), having been laid off from my previous employer’s last fall due to lack of funds. money has been a little tight, so winning a free subscription would be a wonderful resource. thank you for the opportunity.

  107. PG Matias

Hi, I’m from Argentina and I’ve been freelancing part-time for a couple of months now.
I’ve tried various job boards with mixed results, so I’ve been wanting to try out this board for some time, as the quality of job posts seems to be quite good.
I hope I get a free subscription, because money is tight, and something for free is always welcome when starting out.
Anyway, I’ve bought Collis’ books in the past and if those are a measure of the quality of the job board, I’m quite sure that the subscription price really is a bargain, even for a person working from a country where the US Dollar is expensive.

    Thanks! You rock!

  108. PG zen

I’m about to take the plunge back into the freelance world, after having my contract canceled back in September. It will be a great feeling, but scary at the same time. I am a current subscriber, but the finances are going to be tight for awhile, until I get back up to normal, and a free subscription will be a relief to my bank account.

  109. PG Amy

    Print designers need love too!

Work is drying up locally just like everywhere else, and the chance to use your job board would be awesome!

  110. PG Quan Vu

I recently decided to work as a freelancer after having a hard time finding a job. I’m a creative graphic designer living in San Francisco that enjoys creative work, typeface design, and character design. I would love to have a one year free subscription because if I told you guys how much I have in my bank account, you guys would giggle. The economy is hard right now and if I can get one year free subscription that would be great.

I also on twitter to help and share design resources with other designers and I recommended all the designers out there to join the design community on twitter.

  111. PG Ahmed Mahmoud

I would like to win a subscription because i can’t reach clients so this would help me to get good opportunities

  112. PG Ren Rieskamp

Count me in, too! I usually freelance through recruiting agencies, but I’m looking to expand beyond that and find clients I can call my own. I’m excited about the possibilities, but I’m also currently broke, so winning a subscription would be ecstatic!

  113. PG Sarah

I’m just branching out into part-time freelancing — I have a full time job right now, but with the economy as it is, I feel that I need to have a back up plan to prepare for the worst-case scenario should I get the dreaded “pink-slip”. Having a free subscription would be a big help for me to in finding clients as I get myself started.

  114. PG Chris scheoeder

I just recently entered the freelance world and love it.. I think this subscription will help give me the jumpstart I need!

  115. PG deanna

I am just beginning to begin freelancing (while I still have a “day job”) and getting started with a free subscription would be a boost I need.

  116. PG Nick

I just recently revived my website after closing it down nearly a year ago when I thought I had reached its end point.

Now, after bringing it back, I have already succeeded in surpassing the amount of visitors I had just a year ago. I would love to be able to hop on here anytime and apply for various jobs that I know I would have no problem doing, as I am absolutely obsessed with web design.

All the money I make online, I end up putting back into my website, be it paying for ads on Good-Tutorials.com or paying other freelancers to write some guest articles/tutorials.

    Pick me!

  117. PG Ragnar Thor Valgeirsson

I have been a loyal reader to all the Envato’s websites since the very start and I find them really educational.

    Why should you pick me?

I have been trying to do freelance work past years but I haven’t got that many jobs and I can’t work at a normal job due to my health. I have been handicapped since I was born but I can work fast and am great at this field.

Don’t take me wrong, i am not asking for sympathy! I just need this opportunity to make a decent living (income).

    Ragnar

  118. PG Abby

It’s great to see good information being shared.

  119. PG Vladimir

I need this subscription soon because I’m starting to bild my carrier as freelancer and maintain it. More good jobs can be find on many places but I’m looking something like Elance in 2002. Subscription worts me more than money, it is building up your life confortability. Thanks.
