Job Board Improvements & Updates + Win a Free 1 Year Subscription

I’m just getting started as a part-time freelancer (in response to losing my part-time design job) to get myself through design school. So this would open up some great avenues for me

I am always looking to expand my knowledge and expertise, and by being given the opportunity to work with clients from all around the world, would be a great experience.

I’ve just been through a disheartening week of scrabbling for work on Craigslist and the like, and a subscription to a board of well-versed clients that value quality work would be a big pickmeup.

I’m a part time freelancer preparing to expand into a full time one in a few months, and an account to find quality (not those ‘I have an idea, you do it and give me 80%’ deals) jobs that also have potential to expand into future work.

Please count me in! I just recently quit my day job and I’m now a freelance writer and publicist who’s HUNGRY for opportunities. Winning a subscription will definitely pave the way for excellent gigs that I wouldn’t be able to find in craigslist or any other market. Cheers!

As the owner of my own freelance company, I depend on job sites for a lot of my new clients and new work. I would love to win a subscription, being a student about to graduate and jump into freelance illustration. The illustration postings seem a bit thin on the ground for this particular board, but I’d be appreciative, all the same. =) I’ve checked out a lot of freelance job boards, and the quality of postings is borderline insulting – this one looks like it actually cares about the freelancers, rather than just the employers.

I would love an account due to the high quality of the job posts and I am currently trying to get enough work to employ a couple of my friends who lost jobs recently but need a push to get into freelancing. Every bit helps!

I’d like a subscription because I’ve just moved halfway around the world (Minnesota to Sweden) and, in the process, lost both of the major clients who provided the bulk of my work over the last year and a half. Looking for new clients to replace them has been rough and the people I’ve been talking to around here about where to look have generally just been trying to steer me towards monster.se and other sites which deal primarily in permanent positions or full-time, on-site contracting, presumably because they don’t understand what “freelancing” means.

A reliable source of high-quality freelancing projects (i.e., not the “make me a 100% functional ebay clone for $500 without reusing any existing code and can you have it done by next Tuesday?” sites) would be immensely valuable for getting things going again.

What a great way for me to brag about Freelance Switch to the world! Well, i always read freelanceswitch, but i would like to get the free subscription because i’m 19 years old and i started using photoshop when i was 14, this is my first year after finished the school and i know I WANT to live of freelancing, i love designing and i love the colours, sos I would like to have a good start for this project in my life, getting some serious work .

Also, in my country ( Argentina ) it’s very hard to get a verified paypal account, so my possibilities to get one are almost 10% since my parents dont use any credit cards . So my only way to pay is via Western Union or earning some money with an unverified paypal account untill i reach the limits of the accout .

I’m currently studying at college and have a typical students budget. A free subscription would be great, not only because in this economy every freelancer could use an extra edge, but also — it’s tough getting back into freelancing (after time off for childcare, an MFA, elderly parentcare, etc.).

I’m a freelance illustrator & designer living in semi-rural Northern Canada. As you might guess, there are not a lot of local leads here in my field, so I need all the help I can get in finding projects outside of my own backyard. Having access to the job board would help me locate more interesting and relevant clients and projects, on a more regular basis. This would be a wonderful boon, please help me out!

I would like a subscription to the job board because it truly is the job board that is best for freelancers in terms of fairness and quality of jobs. I am a young freelancer who, at the start of their career, doesn’t have a significant client base to draw constant work from and who relies to some degree on the freelance and contract job boards of the internet. Being a young freelancer mean i have to scrap for clients with more established freelancers, watch out for more opportunistic clients as well as live on a tight budget. I constantly see great jobs posted on the Freelance Switch job board but I am unable, on a college budget, to spring for the monthly fee. I would like to subscription to help kick start my freelance career and find the most interesting and fairest jobs possible.

My job was eliminated one year ago. It was a part-time position, but I had been there almost 12 years. So, I decided to ramp-up my freelance design business. I’m still working on that.

No “regular” job has surfaced, though I’ve interviewed for many. The unemployment rate in Michigan, where I live, is the highest in the nation. So, in the meantime, I will continue to do all the freelance work that I can. I would love a year’s subscription to the job board to help me along my way!

I’m in the process of making the move from moonlighting to doing freelance in a more full time capacity, and I would love a one year subscription to your job board. Your job board looks to be one of the few quality ones that focus on treating everyone fairly – here, I’m not drowning in requests for spec work and $25 logo designs that seem to plague so many other freelance job boards.

I’m a full-time freelance writer and editor, and business has been steady since I threw myself into the work last May. But this week, it all came, suddenly, to a screeching halt. I do high-quality work and have excellent experience in my field. Hi i’m a freelance web designer and developer, and i really love to join to this community and get some freelance work. I found a lot of good quality post jobs and hopefully if i’ll be given a chance even just for a month to be a premium account i would never miss everyday on this board.

I am getting to the bottom of my to-do list, which seems like a bad sign.

My goal is to become a digital gypsy by the end of the year, couchsurfing and WWOOFing through Europe & the Meditteranean basin while I work. In order to make this happen, I need to build more relationships with long-term clients.

Anyway, I’ve bought Collis’ books in the past and if those are a measure of the quality of the job board, I’m quite sure that the subscription price really is a bargain, even for a person working from a country where the US Dollar is expensive.

I’m about to take the plunge back into the freelance world, after having my contract canceled back in September. It will be a great feeling, but scary at the same time. I am a current subscriber, but the finances are going to be tight for awhile, until I get back up to normal, and a free subscription will be a relief to my bank account.

I recently decided to work as a freelancer after having a hard time finding a job. I’m a creative graphic designer living in San Francisco that enjoys creative work, typeface design, and character design. I would love to have a one year free subscription because if I told you guys how much I have in my bank account, you guys would giggle. The economy is hard right now and if I can get one year free subscription that would be great.

Count me in, too! I usually freelance through recruiting agencies, but I’m looking to expand beyond that and find clients I can call my own. I’m excited about the possibilities, but I’m also currently broke, so winning a subscription would be ecstatic!

I’m just branching out into part-time freelancing — I have a full time job right now, but with the economy as it is, I feel that I need to have a back up plan to prepare for the worst-case scenario should I get the dreaded “pink-slip”. Having a free subscription would be a big help for me to in finding clients as I get myself started.

I just recently revived my website after closing it down nearly a year ago when I thought I had reached its end point.

I have been trying to do freelance work past years but I haven’t got that many jobs and I can’t work at a normal job due to my health. I have been handicapped since I was born but I can work fast and am great at this field.
