Is FreelanceSwitch worthy of a 2007 Blog Award?
One of my favourite sites Performancing has just announced the 2007 Performancing Blog Awards and is calling for nominations. I checked and a couple of people have mentioned FreelanceSwitch, so in a shameless bit of promotion, I thought I’d ask our readers to head over and make lots of noise about FSw so that we can win an award! Actually even if you don’t think we should win one, head over and support Performancing anyway

I love this site. I’ve been wondering though at what point does a blog become an online magazine? With mulitple regular authors contributing to content is this still a blog? It certainly follows blogging design and usability conventions. But content wise this is more on par with a magazine at this point, wich is a good thing. Just something to think about. Thx.
Yeah i wonder about that too Sean. When you look at some of the top 100 blogs as well some of them are like little newspapers – like the Huffington Post.
Perhaps blogging is just a word that will evolve over time.

As far as this being an online magazine, I think the word “blog” might disappear over time, I don’t think the word is always helpful and actually causes more confusion than clarity.
You know, these kind of things even the professors here at the school do not cover fully. I love this site. Wish there would be more info for freelance photographer like myself, however I find other tips from a different field is not so different after all. With it I can still implement them to my own field.
This site should win the award, if not this one, or this time, soon enough.
Is FSw worthy? I very much doubt I have any blogs more worthy than FSw in my 73-feed-long bloglines account.
This site has not only been an invaluable resource for me since it’s inception, but it has provided so many useful links for me to continue reading and learning on other websites and blogs, that not only should FSw be honored with an award, but it has enough authority among freelancers to run its own awarding event.
FSw is a site with such respect and authority (and beautiful design), that it would be a shame to not have it recognized.

This is the most useful blog I ever vistited… Every thing written here I feel it… every funny comic drawn happens to me every day.. FSw made me discover how wonderful is freelancing…
