FSw - The Best of May, New Archives Page and Related Posts

Collis Ta'eed

As FreelanceSwitch is growing rapidly we’ve been finding it harder to find old content, so we’ve introduced two new features to the site: a date-based Archives page and at the bottom of every post now a Related Posts section so you can just keep on reading on the same topic.

Still in case you’ve missed posts from the month that just passed, here are some of the highlights from May:

The month kicked off with Cyan telling us to make use of all those hours of Former-Commute Time that Freelancers Save and Leo weighed in with a look at how to Create a Morning Ritual - something I’ve been working on since reading that post!

Our photographic maestro who goes by the pseudonym Mondongo wrote up his first article on Portfolio Zen, dispensing advice that crosses over for illustrators and designers too.

Scott wrote a both light-hearted and innovative article about finding an alternative workplace to your home or an office with his Best Office in the World. You’ll be amused to hear that the FreelanceSwitch idea was born at a Starbucks meeting with Cyan and I over cups of tea!

As part of the continuing New Leads series Cyan wrote up a detailed exposition on Getting More Referrals, an essential task for any freelancer.

And finally Jack brought us a follow up to his wildly popular article on breeds of client, this one put up a mirror to a few of us and took a look at the 13 breeds of Freelancer. From what I hear the next article in the series will be looking at types of payers, so look out for that in June.

So there you have it, the month that was. Until next month, keep on Freelancing!
