FlashDen turns One

Before there was FreelanceSwitch, the team here was wholly involved in another project – FlashDen. Today marks one year since we launched the site that would get us started and we’re having a little celebration on the site including a little history of the site.

If you’re not familiar with FlashDen, the site is similar to stock photo sites like iStock and Dreamstime, except it’s for Flash, Audio, Video and Pixel Fonts. The community is quite large and there’s about two and half thousand files on the site. If you’ve never used stock flash before, it’s pretty neat as you can get up and running really fast. Months ago we created a showroom to show off what you can do with a bit of stock flash.

Oh and the image above is one of a suite of ads I’ve made which you’ll be seeing around town. I don’t know if its a mistake or stroke of genius, but I didn’t put our own logo on the advert. I hope it’s the latter It’s this marketing book I’ve been reading called the 22 immutable laws of branding, if you’ve never read it, go and buy it today, it’s the bomb!
