Hello! I noticed your posting on the upcoming Freelancer conference, and we also are having an event that is free next Monday at 5:30pm for freelancers to network and show their work to potential employers, and for employers to attend and look for talent:

I live in Chicago and will likely be going, it sounds like it will be interesting.

I have to say though, for a conference that’s all about – and for – creative freelancers, the website is hideous.

Thanks Jeff and Illise, looking forward to it as well.

I am working toward going full-time with my freelance business, which has really taken off in the last two years. Through reading blogs such as Freelance Switch, and books, listening to podcasts, etc., I have corrected a lot of pricing mistakes I was making and adapted some successful strategies of landing new (and better) clients, but I still realize there is whole new level I want to take things and this conference looked like it would have a lot of valuable information to help achieve those goals.

In addition to the sessions, I think making contacts and being able to network with other freelancers can be a great benefit in and of itself.

Me too. We have a lot of surprises up our sleeve to make it a memorable conference and we hope to see lots of FSWers there. In fact, one of the morning roundtables could be for FSW.

Is anyone from FSW going to this? Maybe we should have a meetup of FSWers. Looks like a good conference.
