Hi, This is a site which is run by 5 others but is basically a forum of web designers and developers. We pride ourselves in being very friendly and were born as a spin off when they closed down the old Web Designer magazine forums.
I know the front pages are out of date and but we have just moved hosts and a new team has taken over.
Come see us
Cheers Ben

I’ve been freelancing for almost 33 years. I set a high goal when I started, made the goal and promised I’d never do it again to that level because it took so much time away from my family. There’s still no retirement possibilities but the working conditions are great. The projects that have come my way have been unique and varied, from animation to logos, catalogs to POP, keyline/pasteup to the computer (Mac, of course). What a ride… and I still have time for flying hang gliders.
If you’ve got the dedication to your purpose and solid personal discipline, it can be a great life. Sure beats the alternative.

THANK YOU! Thanks to everyone who submitted URLs, i’m just compiling them now.
When we wrote this post calling for freelance sites we actually meant sites like freelanceswitch which gave advice to freelancers but we’ve received so many great submissions of freelancer sites (portfolios and the like) that we’ve decided that perhaps a listing service is in order. So its going into development and in a few weeks we should have a freelancer list-your-services directory available.
The directory will charge a small monthly fee, this is so that the directory is kept current and only serious freelancers go in there (so that potential clients find it useful).
Anyhow I’m going to keep compiling this list… Lots and lots of URLs to look through!!

Hi there I am a Art Director who’s at it for at least 10 hours a day. I’m from Singapore and I am mainly in the web and interactive field. I’m a mix of old fashion values and new age experimentation. I’m a typophile and I am influenced by people like Naoto Fukasawa, Kenya Hara, Erik Spiekermann, Neville Brody, Yugo Nakamura, Tadao Ando, most of whom are not designers in the field I am in.
I managed both my blog and showcase at http://aendirect.com/ where you will find occasional posts on design philosophies, including my popular Wabi Sabi series “Zen Principles of Aesthetics”.
I am willing to pay for a listing here, I have some spare change on PayPal which I don’t know where I should spend on.
