[...] Ultimately, the more successful you are, the more comfortable you’re bound to get and the more you risk losing your drive. Your mistakes and your failures are what force you to strive to better yourself everyday, and nothing is more valuable than that. Make your life simpler by not worrying about what you’re doing wrong. Instead, appreciate the value of your failures. - read more at freelanceswitch.com [...]

I've resolved to learn something from almost every project I do - how I would have done something differently. Whether it be client relations a program choice for certain situations. I'll keep somewhat of a checklist that is handy for these different areas, and try to consult it in the midst of future projects I take on. Most of the mistakes learned from get ingrained in my mind, but having something physical makes it more objective to my mind, and this establishes the importance of these practices more to me. Certain things I'll print out and stick in visible places in my workspace. Though I don't really ever consider any project a failure, there is always something to be learned!

Really true, I have to say, especially when you are young like me, you make little mistakes (sometimes not so little) in every project, and learn from them...
In italian we say "Sbagliando si impara", that could be "When you mistake you learn".
It's really important to not repeating the mistake.
