Wednesday morning was also off limits. Thur, by comparison, was quiet as a graveyard as we prepared for the next cycle. Those "off days" are fewer now with the web taking hold, but you should still be sensitive to the cycles and plan your inquiries around them. One other tip: we were constantly looking for help for special sections or "roundup" pieces. Find out if your magazine has these and target them. Good luck. Good piece.
