N.C. Winters is always drawing. When he isn't making comics, doodling or working as a freelance graphic artist, he spends his time painting pretty pictures for galleries from his home studio in sunny southern California.
Ha! Ever since I’ve been freelance I wait until the last minute – because I’m always paying, grrrrrr :/ If I were an employee with a chance at a refund I’d get ‘em done on time!!
Well, erm eh… uh no not at all! Actually you nailed it, that’s what I get for doing comics in advance. I was going to change the date on the calendar, and realized, it’s still funnier a few days before it’s due. Don’t tell anyone though- it’ll be our little secret.
Also done in February. Planning and tracking started in September (well, it’s an ongoing thing). Just moved the money over to pay the outstanding balances. SO much less stress.
i hope you know that this image is broken. looks like it is being brougt from the database and is being escaped.
I can relate with this one. Freelancing rocks but this is my most hated part of the year.
Hey, that’s me!
You have hidden cameras in my place, don’t you?
Haha I’m such an accounting dork- I had my taxes done in February because I was kind of excited about doing them.
LOL, so true

I just wanted to say how glad I was to hire an accountant to handle my taxes for me this year. No stress! Got a good return too–in Februrary!
Yep, that is me all the way. Still haven’t done them yet!!
Thank goodness for Turbo Tax.
I don’t even wanna talk about this subject.
Blech.
Good one, taxes are always a pain.
Taxes? What?
Hmmm, i’m guessing your are super excited about your 100th comic, and therefore bumped this one up a week? eh? eh? Am i right:)
Great strip, i finally listened to my previous-self and had my accountant do them early this year as well! Go-go-gadget-accountant!
Yep… that’s far too familiar
Dawn!! I almost forgot to take care of my taxes declaration. Thank God I can do it online!
Isn’t eGovernment great?

Procrastination is the biggest enemy of the freelancer!!
My advice: get a good accountant!
I’m going to dread taxes when I get older especially if I am still freelancing =_=
The comic was funny though, keep them coming!
you ARE watching me aren’t you?
That’s my case!!!
That’s so me!
