Freelance Freedom #89

PG

N.C. Winters is always drawing. When he isn't making comics, doodling or working as a freelance graphic artist, he spends his time painting pretty pictures for galleries from his home studio in sunny southern California.

    Been there … ALOT

  2. PG David Henderson

Haha. Very funny. So annoying, esp when you KNOW nothing needs changed!

  3. PG DKumar M.

LOL! it’s a story of every freelancer designer like me. I learn few lesson after been there like “client never likes what you like, you need to make what client like” also “there are exactly one out of thousands clients who likes your finished draft” etc etc…

It’s hurts when they don’t like your fine work and instruct you to modify that.

Nice Strip Winters.. Thanks for sharing !!

Nick is spying in my email. Just had to combine two different logo concepts for a client. Oy gevalt, will it ever end?

  5. PG Nathan

It reminds me the chinesee translation of SW Episode III, when Vader was screaming “nooo”, and subtitles were saying “do not want!” So true…

  6. PG Jennifer Wingard

Seems you were a fly on my wall this week while I was going through endless revisions with a client that just cannot be satisfied even when I’m doing exactly what he wanted done. He tells me what he wants, I gave up suggesting better practices long ago with him, I do exactly what he wants, then he comes back and says the idea that *I* had wasn’t in keeping with his vision.

  7. PG Kanchan

    LOL….!!! and I thought I was the only one….

    geeeee

  8. PG Melek

hahahaha…LOVE it! I just went thru this in the email I opened prior to your strip. It was a reply to design comps I sent off Friday afternoon. And i was totally doing the “no whammy! no whammy!” mantra as I opened it. Luckily, it’s a very easy to please client, and all I needed to do was remove one image. Phew!

    Happy Monday!

  9. PG Jonathan Sharp

Haha, truth if funnier than fiction!…and that is the truth!

  10. PG Kishau

I think “no whammy! no whammy!” sums it up nicely. You get this a lot with the “I’ll Know It When I See It” clients. And this is an experience that I’m sure most freelancers share (designers, developers, artists).

  11. PG Chocksy

Haha, that’s so true… I’ve been in that situation so many times.

  12. PG Justin

Seriously.. where’s the hidden camera? How do you know my life?!

  13. PG Alper

Wow! It feels good to be understood! LOL!

  14. PG camilo
