Haha! It’s amazing how many times something that you know is great is slated by people who don’t know the first thing about design and would be happier to see a logo as Word Art with Clip Art in the background rather than a carefully constructed piece with a meaning to it!
Haha, my first client was like that. It’s the funniest, yet saddest, yet most annoying thing I have ever dealt with in my short time as a freelancer.
Funny…. I tooo have few clients like that. really suffocating !!
I laughed so hard I about crapped myself.
hahaha, that was funny.
The worst thing is when a whole team of freelancers or designers are told to re-work a brilliant piece of work by a clueless client. Sad days.
Could not be more on the money! I’m just wrapping up a project where my designed reviewed by the client’s in-law (who is a “budding graphic designer”) was completely smashed. The resulting design the client came up with would go toe to toe with the worst of MySpace(TM). At this point now it’s paying the bills so, “Nothing to see here, move on…”
@Omar – that too happens a lot with us… many times they just refuse your design over no ideas !!
This is awesome!
Baha! Not surprising when my friends ask whats so funny they do not get the joke.
I’m new to freelance but I’ve already had this. Great FF
Add more pink! More gifs images! More sparkles! It needs to look like an Geocites page from 1999!
That’s like an everyday nightmare for me.
yes! i love it… “I’m not sure this is what I’m looking for. I have a clip art piece I was working on…”
haha
Man, I really LOVE your cartoons!!! I am a freelancer in Bucharest, and I totally see myself here! I was just browsing for the last hour in this cartoon section, i couldn’t get enough of it (after 4 full work days, and 3 more to go).
Keep going, you are not alone
)))
I could not agree more with part 3 of the cartoon.
Sad but true. It’s a fact of life where I work. Great strip though!
Its always fun to see this post
