Ah! the solution for this is to have all your mails directed to another email add.
My personal example: I am using gmail since 2003 and I am currently managing other email accounts of my websites from there… also I have a yahoo account which I seldom open, and I have directed all my incoming emails to that yahoo, that case I can delete some unimportant messages in my gmail.
In some event I have to retrieve the deleted message, I check that from my yahoo. But most of my client messages and network sites are all in my gmail. This set up also helps me when gmail is hard to access (very rare though, it happens only once or twice this year) everything still under control.
I remember going on a vacation for 5 days and on the second day my phone got damaged. I wanted to kill myself since my phone was my only internet connection – so I had too the feeling of disconnection.
this happened to me just last week. email was down for about 6 hours. i wanted to kill somebody, but since i was stranded all alone, there was noone to throttle
Oh jeez I just had that problem not too long ago. Decided to switch to a dedicated server after finding out that half my emails were going into cyber black hole.

@LogoMotto – thank for the great solution to email and server woes.
So true. I personally feel so ‘disconnected’, everytime my connection drops.
