Yeah, pretty much. I’ve got a full-time job as a designer myself and right now my lunch has been soup. On the weekends it’s in my slippers, though!
hehe
Heheh…
Then again, I am still going rapidly gray despite being away from the corporate hamster wheel for 4 years.
Funny how the writer still has all his hair and the “suit” does not.. Less corporate stress = youth? hmmm, maybe
haha, I like that
Freelancing casual fridays mean bare feet and wearing the same T-Shirt you wore Thursday.
My lunch as a full time freelancer is a home cooked meal by my wife. But still in my slippers.
i have a cat too
rotfl
Slippers!
Status insignia of the free.
I love it. Even though you’re home, you likely have more lunch options than soup but it is still the winner.
How about cooking your favourite meal? Unprocessed, no MSG, organics, etc.. Bought from nearby fresh market while driving at a sunday-speed
Freelancing is totally different environment.
everything is better with bunny slippers.
Ahhh freedom!
Yes! you’ve gotta have the soup in between rushing deadlines. and i’m for the slippers too.. and oversized beer shirts!
Hahaha, indeed! I do the same thing during the week: sandwiches, reheated leftovers… and then on weekends I go all out. Why is that?
Also, I do NOT miss the smell of lunchtime in the office. If I ever find that person who heated up clam chowder everyday…
hahaha
LOL, Excellent! I love it!

Freelancers have casual Fridays? I wear the same shit to work pretty much every day. Slayer T-shirt + Black cut off jeans.
If you can guess what profession I freelance, I’ll give you a cookie.
awesome, just awesome, and true!
I hate office lunches
I love the freedom of freelance lunches
I hate suits and ties
I love freelance slippers and PJ’s
Ah,so,the freelancer has a full head of hair, and is ‘cool’enough to roll up his sleeves…spin me not..
Free-lancing since ‘92 and damned if I’ll settle for microwave soup. There’s a little lunch place just across the street for an omelette and a glass of wine a couple of times a week. The bit about the clothing is dead on, though; I measure how many days have passed by when I have to change my shirt and can usually double that for fresh jeans. Done the corporate thing and been at the top. It’s death on the installment plan. Wouldn’t change back for a herd of BMWs. And I do still have a full head of hair.
I think I will buy a bunny slippers
lol
haha. I’ve been working through the night and came across this in my RSS and laughed hysterically for about 2 minutes.
I always loved your Freelance comic series
Sorry if this is a little out of the topic, but know any good link how to do a web comic similar to yours? Thanks
Hehehe. I have to send that to a few friends who are at the office right now. *evil laughter*
And the cat!!
I’m a contract programmer working out of my home. I have bought a weeks worth of PJs because that all I wear all day. But for lunch I cook some pretty damn good meals. Today I grilled turkey sausages, corn on the cob and red bell peppers on the BBQ.
Office lunches suck! Anyone who eats re-heated microwaved fish in their cubicle needs some hurt. Oh the afternoons spent looking for any excuse to get away from that smell.
