Laughing. Oh so many temperature wars in the office. At home, now, I am just operating at level HOT AND CHEAP. I miss the AC.

I don't miss the old corporate offices AC. My home office does get a little toasty in these summer months, but at least now I have the option of working in my bikini! :)

Its hearing situations like the comic strip and the above comments that make me glad I'm pursuing a freelance career before attempting to find work for a company.

I'm in the same boat as Andy. Having no HVAC makes my winters cold, (which I can solve by wear sweatshirts and blankets), but worse, my summers sweltering. The sun laughs at my puny fans pushing around the hot air in my room.

I used to work with the air conditioning blowing on me. In the simmer months I'd roll up to work in a t-shirt and once in the studio I'd have to get togged up to bare the big chill. I so do not miss that.

We had a heat wave in our office for about a week and everyone complained to our publisher. He kept dismissing it and even told a couple of women that it was just their hormones. He would point out that the thermostat was reading 72 deg. (F). I finally went and bought an electronic temp. gauge so I could prove to him that it was as hot as you-know-what. Sure enough, the temp. was 84 deg. (F) with a 71% humidity, so it ACTUALLY felt like it was 90 deg (F). That finally prompted him to come to the brilliant conclusion that the thermostat reading must be off.

I'm going to write a book someday ...
