  1. HaHa i know. i got so many fonts i never get the play with.

  2. So true!

  3. Too funny. I run into clients all the time who say one thing and then do the other. It’s part of the headache of web development, isn’t it?

  4. LOL. Yep, that’s how it works.

  5. Wow I must get the opposite all the time and I guess it is just where I live, as they always suggest they want all titles on each page with some crazy font other than the normal Arial, Tahoma and Verdana that is widely supported by many browsers. Sometimes if they are not willing to move on the font I have to either generate a image title for each page or make some php code to generate the titles with the GD library, all depending on how advanced the website was designed to be. From a design perspective those crazy fonts have there place all depending on where and how they are used, it is just sad sometime when the clients don’t understand this and are not willing to budge either way.

  6. I try not to show the clients options that i dont like, because it has bit me in the butt… “oh ill show them a lot of mock-ups so they can see all the work i have done” …. not so great an idea if you have some mock-ups just for having mock-ups :) i dont do that anymore

  7. Helvetica always wins juxtaposed with crazy fonts.

  8. That’s so true.

  9. So, so, so, TRUE!

  10. yeap, can’t beat the usability-proof fonts! It’s tried and true!

  11. So annoying when this happens, haha — always find it ironic too | it’s never appropriate either — either they want to use some crazy font, that doesn’t even have capital/lowercase, for their entire site content or where an interesting font is needed, they ask for arial or whatever… c’mon! >_

  12. That’s so funny. Lately I incorporate more fonts into my caricature work and find it takes twice as long to get a satisfied customer because everyone likes a different font!

  13. those ‘crazy’ fonts are all free fonts…and probably should never be used…ha.

  14. Excellent and true !

  15. i was just impressed the “client” in the comic was able to identify helvetica ;)

  16. lovely.. that’s so true.. make a book with this drawings!! i will buy it..

  17. I’m confused: Are these comics supposed to be funny?

  18. Oh yeah definitely TRUE :D

  19. @hiro: No, they are based on real life events and in no way are they to be laughed at.

  20. ROTFLOL!!
