N.C. Winters’ profile as a metro area artist has grown rapidly, both in the gallery world and as a freelance illustrator. His work has been featured in The New Yorker, Time Out New York, New York Press, as well as commissioned by private collectors across the US. Winters continues to work diligently after a recent move to sunny San Diego, California.

This doesn’t seem to jive with other posts about being fiscally responsible.
Phil, it’s not like you’ll be buying slippers and mugs on day to day basis.
Freelancers tend to get overly attached to old stuff. I have a coffee mug that’s so beaten up it barely keeps coffee in it, but it has special value to me. The same goes with the slippers, although I love stealing my girlfriend’s pink, fluffy ones.
$19 for bunny slippers? What a rip-off!
