Ha! I will be having these situations if I keep hanging in Internet cafes like I do very often lately!

Wow…deja vu.
Not only does everyone know me by name at the local “MegaBucks” but the manager actually asked me if he could set up a phone and mailbox for me in the store…he was only half joking.

Yep, it gets bad when the guy serving coffee knows the names of your dogs and children…

This definitely felt very familiar to me. I always feel a little uncomfortable when shop clerks know my order.

Haha that’s so true! That’s kind of cool though, makes you feel at home…while at a coffee shop. Haha.

My favorite slang for “that” coffee chain is “Charbucks”, after the perceived over-roasted nature of the beans they grind.
A close second is “Fourbucks”.
Alas, one opened practically across the street from my apartment/office, and I in fact have made a habit of hitting it every afternoon for a little pick-me-up. And yes, they’ve started to pour it as soon as they see me coming.

I can so identify with this one… only instead of a coffee shop, it’s a nearby pub. The other night we stopped in for a pint and a new waitress came up to take our order. While we were deciding, our “regular” waitress had already poured us our drinks (a strongbow for me and a white wine for my wife), and shooed the new waitress away.
