N.C. Winters is always drawing. When he isn't making comics, doodling or working as a freelance graphic artist, he spends his time painting pretty pictures for galleries from his home studio in sunny southern California.
Hahahaha, I’ve been using floppy disks as coasters for years now. Right about time they were about to get extinct I collected various colors and design.
You left out the pupils on your eyes in the second, third (really noticeable) and fourth square. I hate to tell you this but….you look kinda freaky without pupils!
Hah. I go through and do the same thing once about once a month. The bad thing is I keep the things I don’t need, and about a year later I say to myself “what was I thinking??” Love these comics.
The self-storage and miniwarehouse industry has exploded over the last two decades. The United States currently has in excess of 2.5 billion square feet of self storage space , with the vast majority of renters storing stuff that no longer fits in their homes, even though the size of the average American home has doubled over the last fifty years.
Too bad we can’t store ALL our stuff on our hard-drive!
Since we run a self storage facility, we are kind of thankful that we can’t all store everything on our hard-drives! And the idea of using floppy discs for coasters is a great one….will pass it onto our brother in law who lives for computers! Thanks!
Might be time to revive Nikki’s AOL Collection. This was a website that featured what Nikki did with all the free AOL floppy disks that she received. ISTR that she made some interesting art out of them.
…oh man the storage battle – i have recently ran out of file cabinet and shelf space and have recently taken over 2 dresser drawers… i think i need to hire a freelance organizer!!
You forgot perforated cards… I found a bunch of them from my days in university. They make marvelous “post it” cards and excellent book page markers. And of course an excellent variety of toys for toddlers.
It’s funny how as freelancers we feel obliged to ‘store’ our client’s work, yet some of the top agencies only store work for 6 months, regardless of what the client paid for the campaign.
you know the whole, floppy as a coaster thing is actually an eclectic idea (especially if you got the colorful ones)

Freelance man spends so much time freelancing, he’s burned the pupils out of his eyes!

That kid is looks scarier than a deathclaw o.O
@ Stacy: Thats your first time reading this comic, isnt it?
The artist does leave them out on purpose (or mere habit).
cu, w0lf.
@fwolf…no. I’ve been reading his comics for a while, but it’s just really, really, REALLY noticeable this time around.

Haha good one.
Ahh, floppy disks. I found one the other day – then realised my PC doesn’t even have a floppy drive.
Have we really come so far?

On a lighter note:
If you’ve run out of ideas for your old CD’s you can also make CD bubbles –
