Hehe, once again pretty much reflects the truth! Love these cartoons! Who of us hadn’t a client who thinks that the design/idea that their child/children/brother/sister/whatnot had is great but in the eye of a professional it’s utter crap?!

My worst fear is: “My son/daughter is taking a website class and maybe they can take care of some of the maintenance…”

Or even: “…they are good with computers…”

translators hear something similar i.e. “my daughter/wife/friend spent 6 months in Spain/Germany/France and they translated it for me” - only we usually hear it when there’s been a massive mess-up and the client want us to fix it super-fast! Funny.

u know its not just the case of an 8 years old, i just hate the idea of a client calling me to tell me that someone at his family or company or what ever has some gr8 ideas that i should work on.

Hey! Wait guys! Kids’ works are just as precious as ours! They can be a gold mine for inspiration and creativity. Come on, even scribbles, doodles, spatters, they’re not actually ridiculous. I mean, where did grunge start? Yes, I would rather have my baby sister sketch a header for my site because it was from her creativity, it’s how she sees design in her age. But still N.C., you get some kudos. And I close this comment with no LOLs.

LOL oh my goodness even though i am a stager, not a graphic design professional, it’s so often that i hear the same exact thing or show up at the home and things have been re-arranged.. oh the best is people add more things so the home can look cluttered… oy!
