N.C. Winters is always drawing. When he isn't making comics, doodling or working as a freelance graphic artist, he spends his time painting pretty pictures for galleries from his home studio in sunny southern California.
I guess it’s a typical post – client from hell – project syndrome.
We get irritated at the client while we work with him, then get scared that we pushed too far and he won’t come back.
Haha I get this feeling sometimes, but I also get a similar feeling, one where I just can’t stop looking for more and more gigs, but a week after I get it, I get board and want to find another gig, even though that gig (and several others that came before it) are far from being done
haha. Love it. When getting new project, I feel so happy. But working on it makes me sick. But getting it done will make me happy again. But when there’s no work, I feel restless!
haha this one is spot on – i just got a new project last week that i was super excited about until i started working on it over the weekend! great strip!
So true. I can always think of other stuff to work on while I am in the middle of a huge project, but when I am done I can’t even remember what I wanted to do with all my time.
Dunno how is it for everyone else but I’ve had it that most annoying clients brought me most cash. Maybe because I was the only one who would bear with them and so they stuck around? Although I do confess I had to tell someone to bug off, and in pretty straight forward way, not coming up w/a cheesy excuse.
Just got ” over ” the freak out stage. After countless revisions, and changes requested by the client,…after we agreed on the content from the start, I finally decided to let him go and find someone else. Hope it’s not one of you…LOL
When Im doing a project, I feel “safe” if i have like 2 or more other projects that I’m doing , and hoping afterwards it would repeat again. It’s better having many projects at once than having none =(
Once again my life is summed up in three boxes.
Great work as usual.
Thats me Right now
Love the “DONE” button, I need one of those!
I enjoy the “Kern” and “any” keys as well.
OMG…That is my life. Which stress do you wish??? More work than I can handle or no work.
currentlyfreakingout!

Part and parcel of working in services I suppose.
It happens to all of us once in a while…
When you buy something there is buyers regret, when you finish a project is there finishers regret?
best part is “done” button…immediately i looked my keyboard for it lol…but this is typical life of a freelancer and well summed up by NC

Lol! that’s just my status right now.
HA! I love the ‘Any’ and ‘Kern’ buttons, too!
Haha it’s as if I’m looking at myself whenever I’m finished with a fixed project.

Crap, this dude reads my mind… again.
That one I can relate to.

Haha! Totally resonates with me. Ah, the emotional ups and downs of the freelance life. Would never go back, though!
Haha nice one, something that crosses all our minds at times.
