    This one is awesome! I bet I have that same conversation once every two weeks! I get asked all the time by clients/potential clients if I can build something that will be “the next facebook” or “as big as twitter” …I also get asked if I have any good social networking ideas that they can use!

    I have almost exactly the same conversation last Friday. My client wants a superb logo but his venture (engineering) hasn’t even started yet: “I don’t have money for my new company right now, but I have enough to pay you”. LOL

    Happens all the time! They think that their business is going to be awesome and get tons of money.

    I hate the ones that say, “well can I pay you after the logo is done?” NO!

    Oh man, this is EXACTLY what someone is presenting to me right now. “The next Linkedin.”
    He has never built a website, has no knowledge of how web programming works, but he has “a great idea”.

    And all he needs now is a logo. The rest will take care of itself.
