N.C. Winters is always drawing. When he isn't making comics, doodling or working as a freelance graphic artist, he spends his time painting pretty pictures for galleries from his home studio in sunny southern California.
I see a pattern here, Mr. Winters. I still haven’t figured out what movie, if any, the little old lady with the cat was an allusion to last week. It looked strangely familiar. Looking forward to the next installment!
True. Some people just can’t let go of their own ideas. They are so fixed on that one idea, they can’t bring anything else to the table, and it can drive you crazy!
I know this strip is stream of consciousness (loved the Citizen Kane reference.)
But In reality you don’t *dare* be that blunt with any client. Particularly when they deserve it and are exhibiting that behavior. Telling a client “you’re obsessed with ____” will make most clients explode in real outrage.
A client obsessed with one notion that warps the entire project is like a little kid that wants ice cream. The best thing to do is let him stuff himself and make himself sick, and to get it out of his system.
So our freelancer should just use sleds in the design. Then the client will surely see how stupid it looks and will cop to the error of his ways.
If he doesn’t fire the freelancer for a bad design, that is.
It’s amazing how some clients have tunnel vision like this. I had one person who would not agree to a different set of colors for a logo, even though the ones he wanted were well-known from an international company’s logo. -_- But hey, he got what he wanted and if he can’t develop a separate corporate identity, it’s his problem.

The line “Rosebud” was in a movie, wasn’t it? I know I’ve heard it before, but I think of which one!

Man, that is too funny! I laughed so hard when I read it.
Nice reference! I would have no idea what it was without that Wikipedia link xD
haha nice one

Come on people! You didn’t recognized one of the MOST FAMOUS MOVIE LINES IN HISTORY?
I love the comic, even if the movie was over rated (IMO)
And sent me a flashback of all the situations I’ve had like that
The Real Ghostbusters reference
This is the same kind of customers that when the work is done, they tell to their brothers-in-law: “my logo is bigger than yours”
