N.C. Winters is always drawing. When he isn't making comics, doodling or working as a freelance graphic artist, he spends his time painting pretty pictures for galleries from his home studio in sunny southern California.

And be Zen about it: simply accept those things you cannot change.
Funny how things have a tendency to go wrong when there’s a major deadline!
We have electrical storms which means we disconnect our computers and phone line (even though we have lightning protection, we’ve had our equipment struck by lightning over 5 times). Most of the storms we had last season also coincided deadlines.
I had the exact same thing happening to me a few weeks ago! I was on a deadline, and my tablet broke! I had to go to the nearest store (we have a 9am – 9pm computer store in my town) and get some mouse (normally working with tablet or laptop touchpad) to get some work done properly :O
hehe .. very regular situation for new freelancers .. i have gone through this many times when i started. Step by step and as I started reading freelance switch, I learned many management tricks to save myself from these kind of situations ..
nice illustration work … { though closed spelling is not correct !! }
I know exactly how he felt. I lost power a few hours before a major deadline without any warning! We hadn’t lost power in the two years I’ve been living in UAE.
I was ready to pull my hair out – almost did too till a call to my client revealed that they were having power issues too
On a separate note, what I’d really like to see is a female freelancer featured in the strip. We have a whole different set of issues!
We hate you Murphy!!

You forgot the bargaining stage, in which you think you can finish the project with just your mouse.
“Closed” third frame is mispelled.
you just pointed a mistake when i was typing about that !
..
There is a typo on stage 3: “clsoed”, and yes that’s usually what happens when you wait until the last minute.
Good work.

Good one, luckily I haven’t had to go through that situation yet (knock on wood)
when it happens … i shutdown my computer, phone and anything that could be shutdown and just get out of the house !
Hey, did anyone notice the typo yet?
