Ugh, also “yeah my cousins mate runs a web hosting business - he can set up what you need” is a similar type disaster. Or even worse, “you guys handle the print, my cousins mate will make the website - yeah he really loves doing it, it’ll be good experience for them…”

I hate when people say things like this, I had a client once that insisted on printing everything on his laser printer.
At one point he printed out his entire web site to show me what he wanted updated on it. I just took the 30+ papers and stuffed them into a folder. I think I still have them in his file actually.

A former co-worker taught me the blessed, “Sure, no problem. Please sign this addendum to your contract stating I’m not responsible for your print quality.”
I think the sweet lords of Pantone I listened to him and followed his example.

I’m literally “rolling on the floor…” right now.
Never thought that this is such a common issue… In my case it wasn’t just a friend but the friend of a friend of his neighbour.
