    I never been to a convention so I don’t know what this means. If someone gets this comment please comment because I think it’s probably very funny.

    I’ve not been to a convention either. But I would think that the fellow designers are having a joke at his expense by making a list of stuff he doesn’t need…

    Having been to many conventions, the joke is that convention-goers are often very sweaty and unsanitary (hence the phrase ‘con-funk’, meaning the general stink of conventioneers). Being at a table and shaking hands with hundreds of fans is a sure way to catch con-flu, hence the sanitiser.
