Lead or Senior Web Front End Developer for Paypal

PayPal is the largest, global web-based payment web site that millions of people use every day. The web development team is seeking a qualified and dedicated senior web developer with the drive to succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Working with cross functional teams of designers, engineers and product managers, you will be defining the future of online payments while pushing the limits of web development. Your ability to be creative and resourceful in problem solving while working effectively with a range of technical backgrounds is extremely important in this position.

You will be developing the presentation tier of complex data driven consumer facing applications while taking into account site speed, user experience, product strategy, and what the latest web technologies can offer us.

Visual Designer

Budget: $10,000 +

We want to help lead complex projects and work directly with our clients in a leadership role. In other words, consultants may be required to seamlessly transition between Visual Designer, User Experience Designer, Solution Architecture and Front End Development roles within a project while remaining focused on their core project deliverables.

Specific duties include:

  • Provide visual design leadership and strategy for projects and effectively communicate those decisions to stakeholders, including development of visual aids, slide presentations, storyboards or other methods
  • Produce high-quality visual design deliverables including sketches, wireframes, visual designs comps (low and high res), visual design specifications documentation, and site maps
  • Develop and cultivate “trusted advisor” relationships with IW’s clients
  • Formally present deliverables to customers without the need for partner attendance
  • Provide development support as needed, which includes HTML, CSS, JQuery, AJAX, XML; HTML5 knowledge may be needed, or a willingness to learn
  • Provide support as needed hand-coding clean and standards-compliant Web layout code

Freelance Designer/Copywriter for About Pages

We are looking for a freelance copywriter and web designer to redo our About pages. We need a new design (including navigation) and new content- I can work with you on the content.

Freelance Writer to Write Business Articles

Budget: $100 to $500

We’re looking for a creative and research-minded individual to write articles (in Canadian English) for placement on our company website and circulated on other sites as we see fit.

The audience will be businesses, small to large. The content of each article will vary greatly, from the benefits of using HTML5, to an overview of working in the cloud, to an examination on whether print advertising is still relevant in 2011.

We will provide the topic of each article and at the same time, provide direction and ideas we would like to see included. Writing style should be professional casual. Max word count: 500 – 750. Supplied as a Word document.

Creative Web Designer and Front End Developer

Budget: $1,000 to $2,500

We’re seeking a creative web designer. We need someone who will craft elegant, clear designs for client web sites and be able to code the website as well. The ideal candidate will combine a collaborative spirit with self direction, attention to detail, and a flair for design.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide design and development process of web sites and multimedia projects
  • Work closely with Project Manager to complete multiple sites

Qualifications:

  • A strong portfolio with emphasis on beautiful, well-crafted design
  • Experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop
  • Front-end web development skills (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
  • Ability to come up with creative solutions to complex problems
  • Can take creative direction, but can also take ownership of a project from concept to production

Bonus (but not required):

  • Experience developing themes for WordPress
