Community Jobs Forum on FreelanceSwitch
Here in the United States, there has been a lot of talk about putting unemployed people back to work. President Obama recently hosted a Jobs and Economic Growth Forum at the White House and in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The White House has also asked Americans to host their own forums.
In light of the feedback to my recent FreelanceSwitch article, “Finding Jobs vs. Finding a Job,” I don’t think that the solution lies entirely in creating employment for people.
So, in response to the White House request, why don’t we hold a community jobs forum right here? Let’s address our job-free experience as freelancers — the positive and negative aspects.
We’re holding this event on the FreelanceSwitch forums, and we’d love it if you’d grab an account (they’re free) and participate. The community jobs forum thread is here.
Note: Even if you’re not located in the United States, you’re more than welcome to join this discussion. After all, freelancing is global!

This is really cool! I haven’t been that active on the forums but I’d love to start, I feel like there’s a lot to gain from Freelance Switch
In case you haven’t seen it, there is a funny song called “The Freelance National Anthem” at
What is this community job forums about? How can it help the unemployed?
